We have a very important message from Dr Wilkinson!
Dear Patients,
We have a very important message from Dr Wilkinson!
After over 28years as a GP in Stacksteads and Bacup, as a locum, partner and salaried doctor, I have decided it is time to hang up my stethoscope and retire.
I officially retire on 30th September 2024 but my last working day will be 13th September 2024.
I want to thank all the team at Irwell Medical Practice, past and present. Without the support and friendship from all of you I would not have made the 28years. I will miss you, the camaraderie, shared frustrations, and the fun. I wish you all the best for the future and know you will continue to look after each other and the patients for, hopefully, many years to come.
Thank you, also, to all the patients who have allowed me to be part of their, and their families, lives. I hope I have been able to help in some small way. Thank you that we have been able to laugh and share together. I know you will be in good hands with the rest of the team.

With thanks and best wishes,
Dr Patricia Wilkinson
